Welcome to Fond du Lac, translated in French as ‘Bottom of the Lake’- Lake Winnebago that is.  Lake Winnebago is Wisconsin’s largest inland lake and one of the most fished lakes in Wisconsin.  Sturgeon Spectacular is the highly celebrated ice-fishing event in Fond du Lac held annually in February. Fishermen from all over come to spear one of these massive prehistoric fish and have a fun festival, complete with chili crawls and bonfires, while waiting for their catch.

Fond du Lac is also surrounded by the Kettle Moraine State forest and the Horicon Marsh, making it the perfect spot for outdoor enthusiasts everywhere.  Fond du Lac’s central location makes it a great destination for those attending car racing events at Road America and bike racing events like Race the Lake.
